Our Structure

Black Lake First Nation is active in economic development ventures in order to create employment and build wealth for the community. The First Nation owns numerous businesses including Elizabeth Falls Hydro, Black Lake Development, Black Lake Ventures, and Waterfound Development Corp. 

Black Lake Ventures is the business arm of Black Lake First Nation. It has direct ownership in four companies:

• Athabsaca Basin Development – 23.23%
• Prince Albert First Nation Business Development – 8.33%
• Athabasca Catering – 20%
• West Wind Scheduled Services (formerly known as Pronto Airways) – 25%
