Black Lake Communications Center (Radio Station)
Black Lake Ventures is working to build a communication center, with a plan to own a broadcasting license, radio equipment, trained members for operation to begin in 2021. The goal for this radio broadcasting is to strengthen communication, connect the people, educate while influencing our Denesuline culture.
Community Garden
Black Lake Ventures started this project in June and this is the first time that the community has ever initiated on a greenhouse.
Line Cutting
Black Lake Ventures works with Kitsaki Vegetation Services LI, PAGC Forestry Program, Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management (SERM) and other companies for line cutting/bush clearing jobs. BLV does the recruiting and hiring depending on the requirements they need.
Sask Power Meter Read
Black Lake Ventures works with Saskpower and hires contractors (members) once a month for Black Lake and Stony Rapids to collect meter reads.
